SPAM® Tocino Yang Chow Rice




  • 1/2 a can of SPAM® Tocino, diced
  • 4 cups leftover rice
  • 3 pcs eggs, beaten
  • 1 bunch scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup green peas
  • 1/3 cup carrots
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp MSG (to taste)


  1. Heat wok and cook SPAM® Tocino cubes according to package instructions.
  2. Add in the peas and carrots and stir fry until cooked. Set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add in a little more oil if needed, pour beaten eggs and cook halfway through scrambled.
  4. Add the rice and mix thoroughly.
  5. Mix in the SPAM® Tocino cubes, green peas, and carrots. Mix and stir fry.
  6. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, and MSG. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Mix in the scallions and serve.
  8. For a healthier alternative to rice, use cauliflower. Chop cauliflower to grains using a food processor, season, and stir fry according to procedure same as regular rice.
