SPAM® Stuffed Peppers

These stuffed peppers are like a piñata, in that they’re filled with tasty treats. We’re talking zucchini, cabbage, garlic, oregano and best treat of all, SPAM® Bacon! Break open this tasty treat with your teeth and you won’t be disappointed.


  • SPAM® with Bacon 340 grams; cubed
  • Shredded cabbage; 300 grams
  • Shredded zucchini; 150 grams
  • 1 Onion; shredded
  • Chopped garlic; 2 cloves (chopped)
  • Dried oregano; 5 ml
  • Red pepper flakes; 2.5 ml
  • Diced tomatoes; 428 ml
  • Instant rice; 150 grams
  • Brown sugar; 15 grams
  • Green bell peppers 10; cored and seeded


  1. In a skillet over medium high heat, sauté SPAM® Bacon until lightly browned; remove from skillet.
  2. Add cabbage, zucchini, onion, carrot, garlic, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes to skillet.
  3. Cook over low heat 10 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  4. Drain juice from tomatoes; reserve juice. Add enough water to tomato juice to make 2 cups.
  5. Add juice, tomatoes, SPAM® Bacon, rice and brown sugar to vegetable mixture. Cover. Cook 10 minutes.
  6. In large saucepan, boil green bell peppers in water 5 to 7 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain. Fill peppers with SPAM® mixture and enjoy!
