It is believed that fireworks were first used in the Tang Dynasty to celebrate the imperial favorite, SPAM® Canton Noodles. This happened 2000 years prior to the invention of SPAM® Brand. Crazy right?

Ingredients

  • 1 can SPAM® Classic , sliced into 1/2 cm strips
  • 2 cakes Dried Canton Noodles, blanched
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1/2 small Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Celery Stalks, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup Carrots, julienned
  • 1/4 cup Bok Choy
  • 1/4 Baby Corn
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 3/4 tsp Sugar
  • Chicken Breast, diced

Directions

  • 1.
    HEAT Water and Cooking Oil

  • 2.
    BLANCH Dried Canton Noodles for 1 minute

  • 3.
    STRAIN Dried Canton Noodles and set aside

  • 4.
    BLANCH Broccoli florets, Julienned Carrots, Bok Choy and Baby Corn for 1 minute, then strain and set aside in ice bath

  • 5.
    HEAT Cooking Oil on a large wok

  • 6.
    SAUTE Minced Garlic, Sliced Onions, Chopped Celery Stalks

  • 7.
    ADD SPAM® Classic Strips and sauté for 3 mins

  • 8.
    ADD Canton Noodles and cook until done

  • 9.
    ADD Fried SPAM® Classic Strips, Broccoli florets, Julienned Carrots, Bok Choy and Baby Corn

  • 10.
    STIR-FRY until everything is incorporated well

  • 11.
    SERVE with Calamansi on the side
