Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs, beaten and seasoned
  • 1 can SPAM® Chicken, diced
  • 2 tbsps. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps. oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsps. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsps. ketchup
  • 4 cups rice, cooked
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup furikake
  • Nori strips
  • Japanese mayonnaise, optional
  • Japanese shichimi (spice mix), optional

Directions

  1. In a pan over medium heat, add oil and the beaten eggs. Stir fry until scrambled and cooked through. Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add diced SPAM® Chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar and ketchup. Stir fry until SPAM® Chicken is nicely browned and sauce is thickened.
  3. In a large bowl, combine rice, sesame oil, furikake, scrambled eggs and SPAM® Chicken. Mix well and form into triangles.
  4. Wrap the bottom of each onigiri with a nori strip.
